Question:
i have a grundig gv 9110 vcr.
a number of video channels (ie when you set channel 1 to bbc 1, channel 2 to bbc2 etc ) have disappeared.
when you scroll up and down the vcr channels they go 1,3,4,6,7 etc.
where have they channels gone and how can i reset the machine ?
(mods feel free to change the forum)
Moving to Hardware (wouldn't it have been better to have posted there in the first place though??!)
really ! .......no-one can help ?
Are you in a poor signal area? It could just be skipping the channels if poorly tuned.
You should just be able to re-tune the VCR. Not sure how exactly you do this with that model and if it has an "auto-tune" function though.
kryten, thanks for the reply, but it's not the solution.
the video channels aren't there, not poorly tuned.
for instance channel 2 (which was bbc 2) disappeared, but i was able to use channel 12 which tuned in fine.
if you can imagine your own vcr tuned in to channel 1 then pressing 'channel up' on your remote, it should go to channel 2. mine doesn't, it goes to channel 3. it doesn't display what should be on channel 2, coz it ain't there.
On the remote is there a but that says something like HIDE or SKIP. If so, you may be able (within the tuning options) to SHOW/HIDE channels.
BTW, probably a silly question but, do you not have a manual?
