Question:
Plea for help on behalf of my folks....My Dads remote buggered up on the telly (JVC C-JT21EK) so before I had a chance to take a look he's gone and slung it. :oh-hum: So my question is (before going out to buy a £30 clone replacement) these 4-in-1 remotes or whatever, do you need the old remote to 'program' it or can you just put in a code or something for your telly make/model?

You can put in a code for most popular makes (of which JVC is one).
I'm going to move this to the hardware forums though as its better suited there.
