Help with Limit 9900SE setup
Question:

I have just bought a Limit 9900SE DVD player. Being new to DVD I was duly impressed with the picture on my Panasonic TX-24DX1 TV set. But the manual for the Limit is crap, particuarly if you are new to this area, as I am.
My questions:
What are the best video settings to choose in the Limit Video menu for use with my TV? I am connecting with a quaility SCART into the TV's AV1 input (which supports RGB I think). CVBS S-VIDEO, CVBS Y U V? or CVBS RGB?
What is TE mode? Should it be set to Slow, Soon, or turned off? No explanation in the manual that I can find.
Presumably I can't take advantage of progressive scan with my TV. Does progressive scan only relate to Plasma / projection systems or are there CRT systems that utilise it as well.
Thanks for any help.
Dibbo.

For scart you want to use CVBS RGB. Not sure what the TE mode is.
Don't think there are many CRT systems that can use Prog scan - mostly Plasmas, LCD and Pj's. To get a Prog signal you need to use component leads tho, you can't use composite (phono/co-ax), svideo or scart.

If you were not intending to use the progressive scan feature you could have saved yourself a few quid and gone for a cheaper player and a brand name at that. I have a Limit myself and although I am pleased with the progressive scan playback, everything else about the player is a bit naff. (especially the totally useless TE feature).
Just my 2p worth :)
