i just had my dvd chipped. It was from the UK, but when i put in my dvds it play in black and white. What shall i do?!

Are you trying to watch an NTSC DVD perchance? If so it sounds like your TV doesn't support the NTSC colour system, which'll mean you need to input an RGB signal into you TV via a SCART lead.
EDIT - How are you connecting the player to the TV?
