Question:
Hi - any of you guys have problems with this TV - geometty along the sides with bright white pictures
Yep, exactly the same problem - the left and right hand sides of a 4:3 picture bend in towards the top when a bright image is on the screen.
Love to know how to cure it...
Does ne1 have one that is perfect - I am changing mine tonight and need to knowe if it is worth the hassle
nope, not worth the else, your better off changing it in the engineers menu
We have a jvc av28r25ek, the pro logic version and everything is spot on as far as i can see.
Thanks for all help so far - been to Currys and checked their two TVs - both had the same distortions. it seems to be worse when there are bright images - the closing eneergy doors at teh end of Phantom menace are partiocularly bad.
This problem is called "Blooming" if I remember correctly.
Dammit....I was hoping to get one of these sets myself.
Have you tried reducing the contrast and brightness a little bit to see if that tames it a little?
There was a great test for this on the Video Essentials DVD and I've found most TV's have the contrast set up way too high.
Just a thought,
