Question:
How do dipolars compare to regular speakers for rears? What's the rational behind them?
Dipolars are out of phase bipolars:) ie they both have two drivers but bipolars are in-phase.
Basically creates a wider soundstage, and makes the surround more surrounding :p
They are the only types of rears that are used in THX certified solutions.
But for a typical home user system the cost probly outweighs the benifits.

Theses aren't expensive...
mmm, true, but bipolars not dipolars, at least not according to eltax's site: http://www.eltax.com/com/index.phtml?ID=COM
what amp are you gonna be using with these? they look a little bass lite?
The sub'll be coming along at a later date... Most likely the Marantz 4300.
