Anything similar to Bose Jewel Speakers?
Question:

I'm looking for good speakers that are small and nice looking like the Bost Jewel speakers for a new 5.1 setup.
Can anyone suggest anything?
(Small is beautiful!)

Answers:

Easy - Anthony Gallo Micros. They'll slaughter anything Bose can offer.

What sort of price and where ? Thanks

Lasy deal I heard was from Currys who were clearing stock. Just did a search on Google and found: http://www.audiovisiononline.co.uk £399 Ex-demo or £479 new
Also £479 at http://www.hifi4less.com/Aego_P5.htm , www.superfi.co.uk and www.unbeatable.co.uk

Thanks. My bro-in-law was after the full system. The only Curry's I can recall was a mention about the Orpington branch having some reduced. Was it ever a general thing? Although the Pure platinum maybe a better bet now. Both systems are made by Pure anyway.
But getting back to the original thread you can at least just buy the Aego speakers on their own. Depending on your budget there's also the (perhaps) slightly larger KEF 2005 "eggs" which get top marks everywhere.

Answers:

You can buy the Aego 5 which is just the speakers/sub without the Processor.
Both the Aego and KEF "Eggs" have won What Hi-Fi awards - To get the best from the KEFs you need a decent amp/receiver. I've heard them sound decidedly average with a cheap Yamaha but great with an Arcam AVR200 or Denon 3802

Answers:

There is a new set of KEF "Eggs" out soon (called the 2005.2, original :D), so you may wat to try them. They basically have a new tweeter in the sats and a new sub. Full details at www.homecinemachoice.com in the news section.
