B&W M602/1 - Any good?
Question:

I'm upgrading my setup and need some advice.
A mate has offered me the following for £275...
2 DM602 main speakers
2 DM601 rear speakers
1 CC6 centre speaker
(Plus chucking in a Paradigm subwoofer)
Does this sound like a good deal, and are they decent speakers.
I'm planning on getting a Yamaha RX630RDS receiver to go with it. Would this be a good setup for a fairly large living room?
Cheers,
Keith

Answers:

You don't say whether they are Series 2 or 3.
I have the same speakers (series 2 models). They are excellent on my Sony 930. I have also heard them on a Yamaha amp and they sounded just as good.
The price I paid as brand new was 602's - £300, CC6 - £200, 601's £200. So, you are getting £700 of speakers for £275 plus a sub.
It will sound even better in a large living room as I have mine in my bedroon. The more space you have, the better they will sound.

Answers:

well if its S1 then its an ok deal, If its the S2 then its a good deal and about what is should go for used. But if the sub is a PS1000 then its a very good deal.

I think it is much better than a good deal, unless the speakers are in bad condition.

Answers:

The speakers are in A1 condition.
Sounds like it is worth it (not sure if they are S2 or S3 though) so I'll probably go for it.
