I recently purchased a Pioneer VSX-C300-S, this is my first surround system & I haven't a clue.
I've connected it to my DVD player via Optical cable is this the best way.
Please Help
Optical or Coaxial are the best way (as for which is better is up for debate - personally I can't really tell the difference)
What DVD player do you have? You will need to tell your DDV player to output Dolby Digital and DTS as bitstream if it isn't already to get a 5.1 signal.
