Question:
thinking of getting one for the bedroom but do they work with an indoor aerial or am i wasting my money?
Yeah mine does - depends on the coverage in your area though and my aerial has got a built in booster thingy on it.
Mine works fine even though the analogue signal is terrible.... too strong in fact, so much ghosting!
Digital picture is much crisper, ghost free and best of all, widescreen!
As dannis says - yes, but only if the signal strength is good enough. If your analog reception is extremely distrurbed with grain, noise, instability etc, then probably not. If it's rock steady and clean, then probably yes.
As LV426 says . If your regular TV broadcast quality from your indoor aerial is as good as that from your main outdoor aerial then you should be fine.
If there is grain evident then i would not risk it.
In my area , there is no chance of recieving digital tv through an indoor aerial. The signal strength is nowhere near strong enough.
I can get all channels but no channel 5. Does this signify low signal strength?
Channel 5 in black Hill area is 44 for SDN mux and the indoor aerial has not enought signal strength to get it. Do you get no blocking from ITN,QVC etc?
