Question:
I've just encountered the first disc that won't play on my UH excel modded Pioneer 636D and was wondering if anybody can give me any clues on how I can go about playing it. It's the R3 version of "A view to a kill". I've tried playing another R3 disc before it to try and get the machine "regioned" but get a blue screen with a note saying disc not compatible with machine when I run the disc. The best I can do is turn the machine off and on with the disc in the tray. I get the menu but when I press "play" the dreaded blue disc shows up again. Any help gratefully received. :)
Have you tried going into the setup and changing it to region 3?
Most Pioneers let you manually change the region!
From memory i thing you need basic setup and press condition memory, then press 3 to change it to region 3.
HTH,
Gary.
Sorry mate, I don't think I can do this with the 636D. I've just had a play but under setup there is no mention of region and pressing conditioned memory on the remote leads to no change in the menus. Am I missing something here?? Thanks for your help anyway.
If you've got Adobe Acrobat checkout :

It may help!
