Question:
Last week I brought a Yammmy RXV630 and soon I'll be getting round to connecting the centre rear. The speakers I have at the moment for rears are Mordaunt Short Bipolars. Now, I've got another pair on order with plans to use one and stick one in the loft til I go 7.1 but I've just spoken to a projectionist who recommended I plug both speakers into the some channel and split them evenly across the back wall. This doesn't sound right to me (plugging to speakers into the same channel), is this possible?
Think that just as long as your impedances are still within the amp's recommended ratings, there shouldn't be any problems. It's the other way round that you should never do, ie plugging two different sources to one pair of speakers.
