mico diamante 3000 & Region 1 DVDs
Question:

For its price the Mico Diamante 3000 is pretty good. The picture is fine on region 2 discs but when I play region 1 discs movement seems a little jerky eg when someone moves across the front of the "screen" or the camera pans across the screen. Good example- Fargo second scene when a guy walks in front of the pool table.
Region 1 discs play without any hack. Before I try the hack do other people have similar experinces with multi-region play.
General question. Will a region 1 disc play inferior to the region 2 version on a region 2 machine.
Cheers

Answers:

I'm no expert but it sounds like your tv might not do ntsc.
My dansai 852 translated ntsc R1 discs to PAL for my OLD Sony 21incher, and I got the jerkiness. With a newer tv... no problema!
So my tip would be to try the discs on a new tv that accepts ntsc.
HTH.

Answers:

I have found the cure. I switched the DVD player from PAL to NTSC and the jerky movement is no longer noticeable.
R1 discs look as good as R2 discs.
