"The Good Girl" Problems...NTSC?
Question:

My girlfriend recieved this DVD this morning, R1 of course from CD-WOW and she said when she plays it back it has some serious image problems such as colour messed up greens on faces etc..
I'm not sure of the telly she has at home, but it could be that it isn't NTSC comp. as her telly at uni is. Is this what happens with a non-NTSC comp. telly or a DVD error?

Answers:

When played on a non-NTSC compatible TV you usually get black and white (if it supports 60Hz) or scrolling and B&W if not. It soulds like a problem maybe with the DVD player and TV combined.. Is this the same DVD player that she uses at uni hooked up in the same way? Also if set to RGB or S-Video at uni does the home TV support that (wrong setting there could cause those problems).

Answers:

Problem solved....
looks like my original thought was right. Her parent's telly wasn't NTSC compatible, so she tried it on another and it worked fine. Thanks anyways Kryten;)
