I sitting watching tv last night on my 32 inch wide screen when all of a sudden the picture shrunk to the middle section of the screen, almost 4:3 ratio. I tried changing the settings, back to 16:9, to auto, to cinema, to zoom nothing changed. The picture began to curve inwards at the middle of both sides.
After ten minute of panicing, the picture shrunk further so that it was only about an inch wide, anonther couple of minute later and the picture went blank and the TV turned itself off !!!!!!!!!!
It now refuses to power on. When I press in the button I get this strange electric like clicking sound, but nothing else, no lights sound or picture !!!!!!!!!

how old is it? under warranty?
it is 1 year and seven months old ?? How can the tube be gone so soon ??
ours was only 8 weeks old when we had the tube replaced, some will say that i should have pushed for a replacement set but its fixed and we're happy.
trading standards advise that 6 years after purchase is still resonable time for a replacement.
you've no doubt spent a lot of money on this set so get pushing for a replacement or repair, if you go for the repair option make sure you get the loan set, two weeks without that box in the corner is a long time.
