Question:
Can anybody recommend me a good booster that readily available in store at Argos, Comet, Currys etc?
Does it need to run off batteries or mains?
Main probably. Recommend the best of both types if you can.
cheers
I have tried several mains Ariel amps without noticing a significant difference. The only difference between them is the casing, the quality of the componets in each seems to be the same ie cheap. The last couple I got were from Argos.
If you want a battery powered one then you will need to try Maplins etc.
I've got one of those from Dixons with the in built aerial and booster. Cant quite remember how much it was but it works really really well. I've even linked it to my freeview box and can get most of the channels through it.
I got a mains booster from Argos for about £12 last year. I think you plug it in so that the red light on the box comes on, as it seems to make little else difference.
