Eltax Speaker Comparisons
Question:

Although all the information is on their website, it's over my head a bit.
Has anyone compared the Eltax Jupiter, Universe and Matrix Speakers? As they can all be bought for a similar price I'm not sure which to get. The Universe and Jupiter seem to be a bit meatier than the Matrix, but I'm not sure about anything else.
Thanks.

Have been looking at these myself. Eltax certainly do have more makes than any other speaker company.
Cn't be much help, but the Matrix ones do look very nice. Have done searches all over the place but there don't some to be many owners of them on the forums i've been to.

Yeah I like the look of the Matrix and I may go for these as they look like they will take up less space too.

There's appear almost identical to the Matrix ones except the fronts are not floorstanding. The front ones from the matrix system look like the rears but with a stand, if you get my jist - they don't look that substantial. May be better to get these for a few quid more and the get the sub (eltax sub are OK for the pricerange).
Would suggest these or maybe the Mission cinema 6 pack at Empure direct for £180.
The eltax ones look much nicer though and come with wallbrackets and probably some cheapy speaker cable. Although I think the silver ones are a bit too much, I prefer the light beech.
Let me know which you get. I'm trying to decicd on some cheapish ones myself at mo.

Thanks Jon. it looks like those just have one woofer in the speakers and make up for it with the sub. I guess if the Matrix ones give enough punch without a sub they may be better for me as space might come in to it.

I have the Cinemaxx package in Silver and I am very happy with them. A lot more substantial than the all-in-one speaker set I had previously. I got them from QED for £131.87.
Richer Sounds (http://www.richersounds.co.uk/index.php?f=itemdetl.php&p=300628) are doing this set for £300:eek:

 Is right ! That's a heck of a difference.

Richer Sounds seem to be having some weird speaker package prices at the moment - the Mission Cinema 72 (http://www.richersounds.co.uk/index.php?f=itemdetl.php&p=205903) is down as £399.95 on their site, which (assuming it is the very latest version of the package) is 5 pence more than Mission's RRP and a heck of a lot more than you can buy it elsewhere

I have the stargate for sevreal reasons.
Firstly it is quite compact and blends in with my room. It is also quite cheap and i did not want to spend too much.
So far i find it quite good, ok there is alot better out there but for the money i thought it was quite good.
My amp is a Pioneer Vsx d810s.
Heres a link to where i got mine.
