Question:
Took delivery of this tv today, and after a few botched attempts at building the stand its all up and running and looking Fantastic!!!, one question I have though:
If I remember correctly on the one I looked at instore, when you open the top door on the cabinet it clicks into place in the open position, mines doesnt. Am I right and therefore my door needs fixing??
Baz
Hi
your right the top door should click into position, mine does.
I too put the stand together wrong first and had to redo it.
Although i'm very pleased with this great tv.
Hope you sort yours out.
cheers Blackadder, I started building the stand with the doors the wrong way round, took me a while to find out what was wrong, couldnt understand why the shelf was slanted :brickwall
I'll have a look and see if the hinges need tightened or something.
Hi Baz
I built it first with the back upside down and the shelf was slanted to.
Who needs instructions....obviously me
 it sounds so familiar
Another question for ya, at what angle does your shelf hold at? I've gotten mine to hold, but it seems pretty high for it. Again, I remember the shelf sitting at about a 45 degree angle.
Hi baz
My shelf seems level, i've just looked but it is quite high.
You get yours from JL on the price match?
Cheers again, the shelf on mine goes way up and covers the speakers (not a huge problem since I use an amp), but doesnt look that attractive)
I got mine from Robertsons, JL didnt have any in stock in Edinburgh. Got it for the same price at Robertsons but without the 5 year warranty.
Doh, just noticed my mistake, I meant to say "door" in the post above not shelf, sorry :oh-hum:
yeah it should go right up. Why d'ya need to need to leave it open ?
I've got the centre speaker for my DTS Digitheatre in it, when its closed, the sound is very muffled, sounds better when its open
Baz
Lads,
Mine came in 6-7 bits and the front was already together ??? (Box wasn't opened)
My top flap clicks and sits just below the red stanby light. I have to say the bottom door keeps going till it fits the floor (crap design). I have dropped it once and on a wooden floor it does make your back side clench quite quickly....too much info...sorry !
Yugo1
Yugo, so the actual top lip of the door sits level with the red light?? (in effect covering the speaker)
If so, thats the same as mine. I found out about the bottom door the hard way, opened and let go and cringed as it sped to the laminate flooring and made a hell of a noise.
HA HA..just said the same thing. I to have lam flooring and it does scare the hell out of you...the bird just rolled her eyes.
The only time I have it open is to put in a DVD. Remotes as you know work through the glass.

Thought I'd ask something else which I've just noticed. When I get near the TV (about 10cm's from it, or less), the sound dies down. Is this supposed to happen, a kind of safety feature of the TV? I cant see anything mentioned in the manual.
Cheers and sorry to be a pain.
Sorry mate, can't say I notice or have heard of that problem before.
