Help choosing a new T.V.
Question:

I want to buy a new T.V., 28" and spend no more than £700-£800. The problem is, I don't know what set is the best for that price.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Answers:

Save up another £1800 and buy yourself a 42" Plasma from Richer Sounds, well worth the money IMHO

 But for £800 as I said before you can get a very nice Panasonic/Sony/Toshiba etc or maybe a reasonable 32".

Or if he's buying online a 28inch Loewe Virtos (not including stand) for pretty much bang on £800 from here. (http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/productdetailsnew.asp?modelcode=LOE-V6370ZWP) I haven't looked at any other places but I doubt there'll be many much cheaper for it.
There's also -
Philips 28PW9527C (http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/productdetailsnew.asp?modelcode=PHI-28PW9527C)
Panasoinc TX28PL10 (http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/productdetailsnew.asp?modelcode=PAN-TX28PL10)
Sony KV28FX66S (http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/productdetailsnew.asp?modelcode=SON-KV28FX66S)
Toshiba 28ZD26B (http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/productdetailsnew.asp?modelcode=TOS-28ZD26B)
(BTW I'm not trying to advertise Empire, I just happened to be on there site looking at TV's anyway. :D)

I don't really have enough room for a 32", a plasma would be perfect - only problem is the £2500+ price tags....:(
Thanks for the ideas Kryten and Pisces, I will take a look

Philips 28PW9527C (which can be had for around £799.99 on-line) is said to be the best TV ever by the likes of What TV and Video.
Haven't seen the quality of Loewe but have heard they are top notch.
Would recommend short-listing those two for sure.
