After visiting America around a dozen times, I feel like our telly, even sky/cable etc. leaves a lot to be desired.
So, I was curious as to whether it is technically possible to receive US channels such as ESPN in the UK. If so, what equipment would be required.

you might be able to with motorized satellite, but if you did receive ESPN (which would be cool for the Ice Hockey) it would be stealing!
I presume I'd need some form of decoder, card etc before I'd even get the signal.
Are there not companies that do this type of thing?

jeez, you try living with it day in and day out for three years... it isn't even in the same league as UK TV... mediocre programming made worse by way too many ads.

jeez, you try living with it day in and day out for three years... it isn't even in the same league as UK TV... mediocre programming made worse by way too many ads.
