Question:
hiya,
i have one optical input on my amp but have dvd and xbox that i want to connect into it. can anyone recommend a suitable splitter that would be able to let me have both plugged in. looking for a hardwired hone if poss as opposed to one i have to switch between dvd and xbox. dvd and xbox will never be on at the same time.
thanks for any help
This is a splitter: http://www.maplin.co.uk/products/module.asp?CartID=030108212609973&moduleno=33712&modulecode=
I don't know if it will work the other way around (like you need) though. Might be worth contacting maplin to verify.
I think there's an optical splitter for sale in the classifieds, its one especially for the box if IIRC.
Check out Homebase they sell one and verly low cost, The Maplins one is like the homebase one but slightly cheaper.
saw the maplins one in a branch, as its optical it works either way (just a piece of plastic).

http://www.cybermarket.co.uk/ishop/923/shopscr318.html looks a better bet as it has a switch for three seperate inputs :)
