Question:
I have a Multiregion Toshiba 220E and am trying to play a region 1 version of Smashing Pumpkins 1991-2000. The TV is a Toshiba 2535DB which is supposed to support PAL60, but I'm getting very dodgy picture on the menu screens. The actual music videos seem to be OK, but the menue screens are flickery and have lines accross them etc and it looks pants. Anyone have any idea what's wrong?
Does the player output in NTSC? If it does switch it to output in that format and see if it improves.
How is your DVD player connected to the TV.If it's scart is the scart in the RGB slot in the TV and on the settings menu on the DVD player is it set to output to RGB?:)
Yes done all that. It's set to RGB (any other setting gives no colour). As I said the videos seem fine (well kind of - only works properly in one SCART socket in the TV and it's the one that works less well for all my other discs.) The main problem though is the menus are all weird. Does anyone else own this disc? It's really p*ssing me off I hate all these different formats etc.:(
Could just be a problem with the disc/player combination if you say that the videos are ok (e.g. you are playing NTSC fine).
