Sounds like for some reason the audio passthrough is not working. This could be a design issue or a fault.
You could get around this using audio outputs from the VCR to the TV, or from the satellite to the TV (hence only using the VCR SCART for video signal).
Also probably better off in the hardware forum :)
no audio inputs on tv. i said in thread when i put the old video into standbye the sound was still on but the new one the picture is there but no sound:( is there a way round with messing with a few of the scart pins or something like that?:(
could be a faulty cable... a few pins broken perhaps?
the cable could just be a little loose or not fit well in the new vcr..
have you got another cable to try? or swap some around.
