Question:
Hi all :)
I have an aging Creative PC-DVD 6x DVD-Rom, and a Toshiba SD-120E multi-region DVD player...
I already know that the Toshiba can't play DVD-A, but the PC ~ I have a half decent sound card that is supposedly able to fully decode at DVD-A specs, so... can the PC (software) act as a full DVD-A player... or is there more to it than that?
If it can... can anyone recommend any DVD-A software?
Thanks
I think only the newest cards (eg Audigy2) can actually decode DVD-A. There's the offer of a free DVD-A in the bargain forum - so why not get this and see.
Oh - and I think most DVD-A titles will have a dolby digital track aswell so people with DVD video players can still listen to them - and then reap the full benefits when they upgrade to a DVD-A capable player.
