Question:
anyone got an LCD TV EG. panny 15 widescreen for bedroom use and do you rate them!
Craig
There are a numbver of small LCD TVs about. I only own the really cheap LG 15" 4x3 job and, whilst it's fine for occasional use, it isn't the best.
The Pannys are very pretty, but they have a very limited vertical viewing angle. Go more than about 5 degrees below horizontal and the picture becomes unwatchable.
However, the Sharp Aquos range have solved this problem completely. For that reason, if I were buying right now, this would be high on the list.....
I have also seen a 17 inch Grundig which appears to have a good picture, good contrast etc.
Good LCD screens are beyond impressive.
I would say the best mix of quality and performance and price is the Samsung 17" Widescreen (LW17N13W).
I think it won an award from one of the magazines (what video and the like) but for the life of me I cannot remember which one.
We sell this at www.be-direct.co.uk at £1149.99 which I think is the UK's lowest price.
Also be aware that at the moment Sharp are running a free of charge 3 year warranty on thier LCD Tv's. We also sell these (and all at just about the UK's lowest prices).
Regards
Phil
