Question:
I have two sets of amp/speaker sets, and want to be able to switch a single input (two phonos) to be outputted to either amp/speaker combo.
I've seen input switchers, which allow you to select which of two inputs goes to certain output, but no output switchers. Would it be possible to get an input switcher, connect my source to the 'output' of the switch, and my two amps to each of the 'inputs', and use that to switch?
I'm guessing this would work with a simple manual switching system, which would basically be a switch that would connect either of the 'inputs' to the 'output'. But I'm assuming there's no reverse current protection or similar in these systems. Anyone done anything similar?
there should be no sort of current protection as these dont switch great currents. try it, if there is protection then you just get no o/p, you wont do any damage
