Question:
My Sammy 501 player has (finally!) hit the dust and will not play anything other than audio cds (And i aint gonna keep it for that i already have two cd decks in my rack) So its time for a not too expensive upgrade!

The comments seem pretty good, the specs are pretty good (VGA Output and DTS and DD Decoders which are handy to have) and it is only nealry £100 including shipping.
Now onto the question, should I save up for it?
My Encore 450 has been acting up recently a lot, and I have been thinking of getting another player.
This one does look good, and its cheaper here http://gameloaded.co.uk/index.php?menuID=21&submenuID=0&mainpage_url=details.php&code=4407&key=ARIANET_SLIM_LINE_DVD_2255_MULTI-REGION_5.1_DVD_PLAYER
Only £90-00 inc delivery.
If Clayts looks in on this, does he know anything about this model, as there don`t appear to be any Sampo based players about at the moment?
:)
cool! How much is postage though?
This is supposed to be a decent budget player (http://www.bigpockets.co.uk/product.php?id=444)

Seems good enough, I was actually going to buy that player but I got a Panasonic RV60 though for quite a good deal.
Not being a brand snob but i have seen a JVC player that i like and pretty much all the rest of my kit is jvc, so i maywell go for that instead...

I have to say that if I were to buy a budget player right now, the '2255 would be it. It's not a Sampo (shame) but made by a company called Mizuda (http://www.globalsources.com/gsol/GeneralManager?&catalog_id=2000000003844&design=clean&language=en&action=GetSupplier&page=supplier/ProductDetail&supplier_id=6008800776406&product_id=8822059971&action=GetProduct).
Reptar - what's wrong with your '450 ? e-mail me....
I'm still toying of the idea of either getting this player or get a nice jvc unit to match the rest of my kit :(
