Question:
As above, i have recently brought a Panny 28PL1 and have a few minor problems:-
1. When there is a light and a dark part on the screen i.e. sky and then grass or something like that the white part seems to warp slightly to the left or right side of the screen?
2. The left and right side of the screen there is a blurry patch a bit like 2 blurry bars. Its only slight but a bit annoying when you are watching a film and it has some text which is blurred?
3. How do you get into the service menu so i can try and correct these problems if i can? Or would i do more harm than good?
Thanks in advance.
Dan.
Hi,
I have a 28PL10 (100hz) on rental and I suffer from two faint shadowy vertical lines down the sides of the screen too. What Video commented on these on the review of the 32PL1. Its seems to be a design problem......weird though as there not even symetrical to each other.
The whites expanding over there edges maybe a contrast thing. I think they set the TV's with too high a contrast setting so try shifting that down a bit.
Service menu :-
Be careful!!!
Turn the treble to min turn the bass to full and press the F button on the front of the set whilst pressing the Index button on the remote.
You can set (or mess!!) the geometry up with this procedure but I don't think you can change the other problems.
Mine goes back in May and a nice Toshiba or Sony will grace its place.
Hope this helps and careful in those menus!
