Question:
I have SONY DVP DVD player and recently when playing a DVD right at the end it starts to skip/blur, the disc itself feels quite warm. I've had the DVD player now for over two years is it time to get a new one or have u guys any idea's how to fix this. This is happening on all DVD's that I use. It must have something to do with the laser and the disc heating up which is why it is affecting the end of the film.
Do you have an amp? Is it sitting below the DVD player?
If so, then the heat from the amp is probably giving the player a toasting.
Simple cure for this is to put the amp above the DVD player, so the rising heat won't heat up your discs.
What you're describing sounds like what happened to me, but then again, it could be something totally different.
Thanks for ur reply downhillbiker, I've got the DVD player sitting on top of the center speaker, could that have anything to do with it ?? What about getting DVD clearing kit ?
Ummmm,
Not sure, I keep anything like dvd players and VCRs (spit) away from speakers, just because of the magnets in them.
Your problem sounds like it's to do with the way the player's reading the last bit of the DVD, if there's no other problems until near the end.
You need someone with more expertise than me to help you out man, that was just a quick fix that worked for me, try placing the player somewhere different.
Later
Thanks again, Will try to move it away from the speaker
up u go !:)
