Question:
Just wanna say thanks to everyone who offered advise on my previous thread concerning the above, got it today and had a good play around and its excellent.
No ded pixels, and if this is the lowest spec Projector money can buy the image is outstanding, i'd love to see the image of those ones that cost 3K upwards!
Just making do with a white sheet as a screen at the momet till my screen arrives  But the picture is still great considering the size.
If anyone is consdiering buying one of these do, i've gone throw no end of problems with WS CRT Tvs & RP ones, and hopefully this projector one'nt suffer with any of the problems my last TVs did! Cheers, Rizel
I think we are going to have to form a PT-ae100 group on the forums. Its a great bit of kit, dont play xbox games now, I'm in them :dork:
Was it from komplett? Here's hoping they dont go wrong.
what are you using to feed it? any plans on screens? I'm using a 6 foot bit of MDF (icestorm 5 grey painted) and it looks good. My study is now a cave though with it covering the window. I'm looking at trying to find a cheap 80" x 45" pull down screen for the living room, the MDF is a nightmare to move. The avforums are useful, I wouldn't mind finding a cheap 2nd hand one like Nigel.
Cheers
Ian
Nice one mate! You'll find the more the days go by and the more you tweak the picture the more you love it!
It's the best bit of kit I've ever bought.
Tip of the day: Buy yourself a US X-Box with progressive scan. 8ft Rallisport Challenge and Halo in Progressive Widescreen with DD5.1 sound is just the dog's danglies. I can't put into words how good it is. Even the missus is impressed.
Thnaks all, yes i did get it from komplett, came very quick and service was good so far.
I'am gonna get one of there PLUS Proscreen i think, but just decinding on the size before i commit, but looks as though i'lll probably go with the 240 x 139 cm one.
I'am just playing around with there to put the projector actually, only had it 1 day, watched 'Bowling For Columbine' on it last night with the projector on the floor, picture was good, but i think i'am gonna put it on the celling in the endso its out the way, probalem is i have a smallish room so the futher away the projector goes, even on the smallest setting the bigger the image gets ;)
I've got a UK X-Box, but its chipped so i can (have'nt yet) play US games, can i get progressive scan like this or will i need to buy a US X-Box as well? Cheers, Rizel

blackout blind stretched over a frame is much lighter and pretty cheap.
you can do an 8ft screen for about £20 and still go the icestorm route if required.
thought about going the MDF route but its not really practical unless you are keeping the screen up permanently (which I'm not).
