Question:
Saw it in Tesco - 89.99
Any good?
i was not impressed, sound is very low, and if you want to play 'other' type of discs ie svcds, don't bother as it can't play them properley
Has a weird stretch vertically on NTSC DVDs when you set the output to PAL too :-\
Think I'm gonna take mine back on Friday....
Crap when you can get a pioneer for less than £30 more.
I bought one of these yesterday, the DVD seemed to offered just whet I needed for £89 (5.1 optical out, and a VCD player) and didn’t look that bad, but I was a little disappointed
The picture was very sharp but there was a little loss in colour when RGB mode was selected and the sound was OK, the only problem was they didn’t match. On every DVD tried (about 20, all region2) the sync was a little out, VCD’s played ok and sound was in sync.
I will hang on to it for a couple more days and will be taking it back to Tescos later this week

You're going to be using this player for a couple of years at least - so why buy a supermarket turkey when for less than the price of a night out extra, you can get an excellant make like Pioneer or a Tosh. Check out Home Cinema Heaven for good multiregion prices - link from this forum of course:)
