BIG Upgrade Coming 2003
Question:

Later in 2003 i'm going to buy a nice new Widescreen TV (I can't keep the tatung in my room for long as it's going back next month due to it being rented.
What i eventually want to do is this:
If the tv doesn't come supplied with its own stand im going to by something like this:
http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/commerce/command/ExecMacro/ols_prod_detl.d2w/report?prrfnbr=5340057&prmenbr=6970&type=big&thisMode=ols&cgrfnbr=379482
And have the tv on that at the front of the room under the 3 speakers.
Now i want to get a rack (Even if it is only a £20 jobbie from Do it all) to put ALL the equipment in, the problem being i want it at the side of my room next to my bed.
Obviously i will need to extend the speaker cable but that is a cheap job, the main one being extending the RGB lead.
Here's my cunning plan, if i buy a scart switcher that does RGB, would i be able to wire this up behind the rack and then buy a long scart cable that also does RGB round to the tv and there br no degradiation in the picture quality?
Any other suggestions are welcome as i am not going to the do the whole upgrade in one big chunk but i am going to put my heart and sole into this and actually do it this time :)

Answers:

Nope, a longer RGB scart lead will always lead to degrading in the A/V signal unless you buy very expensive high quality scarts i.e >£50 - £100+...
You have to list all your A/V equipments before anyone here can help. :noid:

I dont know yet!!! The video sources will be Sammy DVD-501 and JVC HR-J655 VCR.
The tv i dunno yet cos i aint got it. I will stick to my idea though cos it'll look nice
