Question:
I have phoned my local Richer Sounds and asked which of their multi region DVDs are also RCE compatible. They stated that they have two, the Acoustic solutions 651 £119.95 and teh Cyber Home ADL 528.
Has anyone an feedback on either, or recommendations for which might be the better or the two?
The other mystery is that a friend bought the Sony DVPNS700 from them and can play RCE discs on this model. Is anyone aware of any of the other models Richer Sounds have that they know for certain will play RCE discs?

Most of them will.
Why not take an RCE disc in and try a few models.
You would be nuts to pay £119 for an Acoustic Solutions player (cheap Chinese players) when you can get a better built (with better pic quality too) Pioneer 350 or Toshiba SD220E for the same price.
In truth there are very few multiregion players that won't play RCE titles. If RCE is a major issue for you then avoid Toshiba players (early models had RCE problems - most current mutiregion modded Toshibas are OK with RCE titles though).
Don't believe what Richer Sounds staff say. They are well known for steering punters towards the overpriced goods in the store (and away from the bargains that they don't make much profit on). I notice they failed to mention the cheapest Acoustic solutions player they sell also plays RCE !!!
