Question:
alba 108 dvd player my brother wants one for his daughter can this be mad mr it's from agros anyway.
The Alba 108 is multiregion out of the box (no hack required).
The Alba 108xi is not multiregion
And they seem to be offering the Alba 114 instead of the 108 at a lot of stores and this should be snapped up as it is a better player according to opinions over at www.vcdhelp.com

Just bought the Alba 108 from Argos for my sister's family. Multiregion out of the box and also it had the optical output and S-VHS socket that is missing on some of newer stock. It played various regions with no problems. All in all for a cheap player i'm very impressed. Don't buy the 108xi it's not multiregion.
The Alba 114 is a very nifty player. I must admit I was a bit of an Alba snob before, always dismissed their stuff as a matter of principle, but I really like my player, although it does have a few niggles, like the way it seems to get the screen position confused when you play NTSC films... A minor problem though. Very good value indeed, and it has coaxil and optical outs, as well as both the scart and s-video sockets, which is great for such a cheap player.
