Question:
Hi
I'm 90% sure I'm going to order some of these tomorrow (monday 15th) but I thought I'd post here for any last minute advice.
I've seen the 5-speaker package for £199 (without sub, obviously), this seems to be a very good price compared to the other big retailers. Is there a M72 second edition available at all?
It just seems too good a price to be true.
Also, I was looking at the Elac cinema one's, but I know mission are a decent make so I'm leaning in that direction. Any opinions on the Elac's?
I have a Panasonic 350 DVD player but no amp at the moment, would it be possible to connect the speakers directly to the DVD? :)
I may as well throw in my next post while I'm at it - receivers!
I've read some info and the Yamaha RX-430RDS and Marantz SR4200 look like the best options for my budget (under £200). Any thought on either or alternatives?
I'm looking to buy this gear pretty soon as I'm very impatient and hate waiting for new stuff, but with the January sales fast approaching am I likely to get much better deals then as this stuff seems very reasonably priced as it is?
Thanks for any help.
Anyone?
i have this package, with a denon amp, plus a mission sub, and its utterly brill, especially the rear speakers.
im as impatient as you as well but it's always worth waiting for the sales mate!

I find it strange that the price differs so much from different retailers.
I've seen than as much as £350. It's madness that you can save £150 if you look around!
Brood - can I be cheeky and ask where you've seen them from £199. The best price I can find is £265.56 at www.qed-uk.com :oh-hum:
The M7* series has been revamped & the new models have an i on the end

Thanks for everyone who's let me know what the difference is between the Cinema 72 and the Cinema M72 - I'd just assumed that they were different names for the same product!
Tips4tnt:
Are you still going for the mission's then?
I think I will be Brood :)
I'm just in the process of buying my first house and will finally have room for a home cinema setup (woohoo!), but I might leave the purchase until I've got all my stuff moved in and then I can work out exactly where the speakers will go.
They were out of stock on the £199 web site link you sent me (I'm at work and I've forgotten their name already!) - so I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for the next best price... especially now that I know that the original Cinema 72's might be going for a song!
Hi
I tried to buy these today but the sales guy told me that they have been having trouble with the M7C1 (centre) and the M7DS (rears). He was saying that they are badly constructed andare prone to rattling (or something like that, he talked too fast).
He then went on to recommend me some Wharfedales - Pacific pi-10 fronts with matching centre and rears (couldn't make out the package name, again too fast for me poor ears :/ ).
I was quoted a price of £249 for M72 fronts, M70 rears and M7C1 centre.
Are the M70's better than the M7Ds for rears?
Is £249 a good price?
 yeah - I couldn't understand a word that the guy I spoke to said
I think he said that they wouldn't be getting any more stock in, but I've not heard of anyone reporting rattling with any of the Missions :(
I did spot old but they got good reviews:
