Collect Questions

hi all,
im new to the forum, so just like to say hello:smokin:
can someone advise me on the best pc setup for burning dvd's..
i need to get a new pc, & like the idea of converting all my original vhs tapes to disk..........(i beleive this can be done)???
also would like to make backups[cough] of my existing dvd's..................:thumbs:
appreciate any advice ppl....................
