Question:
Lo
The adds in Special Reserve says DD and DTS decoder - but ive just got it and cant make DTS - i think its merely a DTS out.
Anyone got one?
cheers
DTS decoder, only means that the player and read the dts track on your dvd. To play it, you will need to connect it to a dts capable amp, by way of the digital CoAxial output. You will also have to enable dts in the setup menu of your player, if it has this option.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the reply - however I think you are incorrect.
A DTS decoder is the same as a built in DD5.1 decoder - all that is needed are a normal amp (DD) & enough speakers. At least 1 previous Cyberhome DVD player had a Built In DTS Decoder.
A DTS-out just moves the data to a compatible decoder/amp
The advert said Decoder - but on the front panel it only says DTS OUT so I guess it doesnt have one.
Im prob wrong - dunno :brickwall
