Question:
Any one know where i can get the eltax starlight surround setup from.
Richer have them for 99.99 pounds on web but surprise do not have them in stock and tried to get me to buy a more expensive setup.
What do you lot think of the Starlights. I brought a set for a friend and they sound good in his room. Now i have moved out and need some too. I find they are nice and compact and do not clutter up a room.
also does anyone have any other ideas on similar products that are around 150 pounds and fairly compact.
cheers
I bought the silver from QED about 18 months ago to replace some big Mission (702e and 701) that were too big for my new front room. For the money and size you can't fault them.

QED have the Stargate X1 which are slightly larger for £120 in silver or £114 in black with free delivery.
Cheers but i am not sure these are as good. not sure about that centre speaker. I shall have to delve deeper. cheers anyway.
Currys have a very similar eltax set (silver ,small and including subwoofer) for £79 on their website. It was instock a couple of days ago.
As usual on the Currys website the description and details don't give much away. But the picture of them looks just like the starlights ;)
got the gale moviestar 3 from richersounds a few days ago, nice speakers, only cost me £90 when i bought the aiwa receiver they had with it, got a tenner off that as well, so only paid £110.
Both sets started with an RRP of £299 but quickly dropped. The starlight and stargate sets use the same Atomic A8 subwoofer.
The 2001/02 Stargate set I bought from QED had 5 identical sats but I notice from the new brochure online they now supply a slightly bigger horizontal center with two woofers which should be an improvement.
I'd recommend them, I replaced much larger Mission speakers that were too big for the room and I'm not disappointed.
