Question:
i'm looking for a cheap scart lead (its just to contect my VHS to the TV non RGB socket)
and im also looking for a new power lead for a friends JVC dvd player... can i just buy a standard power lead or does it need to be specific?
any help on what and where to get it would be lovely

When you say cheap, how cheap? Don't got for the £2.99 leads from supermarkets, they really are poor quality. It's definately worth paying £10+ for a decent quality lead.
Assuming the DVD player uses the standard euro/kettle connector lead then any one will be fine.
okay so i was thinking of something in the under a fiver range
but if you think i should spend some more then what do you recommend for around the £10 mark?
it seems silly to spend loads on a lead that is for VHS which at best isn't gonna look that great
any ideas on the power cord?
Ard Electronics for both.
Mike.
Fair enough... depends how much you're going to use it I suppose. I used to notice the difference when I upgraded the cable on my old VCR to a reasonable one.... much better than the free ones you get in the box!
Have a look at the socket on the DVD player - it's likely to be either a kettle/euro adapter or the smaller 2 pin "figure of eight". I doubt that you'll need anything more specific than that. Both are easily available.
