Question:
Hi all,
Brought the "Snowman S.E" a while ago, and I decided to watch it for the first time last night, about 10mins into it, the picture began to break up, (not for the first time, other Films have done this) continued to watch dispite, and when I was putting the Disc away I noticed aload of scratch's and Marks on the Disc, I believe my Player is responsible, is it possible, I had the player Chipped to Multi-region some time ago. Or more likely it could be the Players Laser pick-up, I've never used any Cleaning Disc of any sort, would that Help,
Any Suggestions will be appreciated.

Player is a Pioneer 717 (about 4/5 yrs old) been thinking about upgrading my player, perhaps this is the best time.
The disc could scratched due to the laser assembly being to close especially the laser lens or the holding part of the disc being a bit wobbly or millmetre slightly bent at an angle. Does sound like a slight mechanical problem? Did this happen before the multi region fitting? I would get it checked if your not happy.
Have you checked that there isn't any dirt/grit on the tray?
Could someone recommend some sort of "Cleaning Disc" and where to get one from.

TA, but before I order, you don't know of any Vouchers knocking around.
None that I'm aware of but you could create a thread in the suppliers forum and ask if anyone else knows of any. People might know of other places to get DVD cleaners as well.

Cheers for that, pop in tomorrow, can someone explain why the big price difference between the two mentioned, surely the done the same thing.
