Question:
I wonder if anyone has a combination of the marantz sr4200 receiver and mission fs1 speakers? If so, do they go well together? Not just for DVD but for audio cd's as well? The compromise with the wife is that the hifi and big speakers go in exchange for small speakers that blend in and my cd's played on the dvd player. Life!
Any thoughts or suggestions would be good.

Well, I have the SR5200 and the FSAV2's, which should pretty much be a comparable set-up, and I think they complement each other very well, even for audio CD's (which surprised me - I didn't expect the speakers, in particular, to handle high-end notes on quiet recordings well but I have been impressed). I'd have no hesitation in recommending them. But be careful with speaker placement - I'm not sure that I agree with the reported wider sound stage that you get with the flat panels.
