Question:
Very much liking the ARCA (http://www.arcafurniture.net/) gear but not the serious prices. This fine piece is around £750:

So, here's what needs to happen for order to be restored to the world. I need to find something alot like the ARCA '200 Series' shown above but el cheapo maxissimo !.
I simply want a decently built cabinet with six shelves within. How hard can it be to find something like this for less than three-quarters of a grand ?
I read recently that someone built one via a local carpenter using the Arca specs. If that was you, own up. How did it go ?

Anyone, like myself, fancying something like this for reasonable money might want to keep an eye out on this (http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=54132) thead over at the AVForums.
I don't see anything compatible in the current IKEA or Habitat ranges so where else should I be looking ?

Yup their gear is expensive, I guess as they have the market mutch to their selves. Mindyou, might be worth looking into doing some sort of forum deal on this? LMK what you think peeps?
