Impendance - Amp/speaker match up
Question:

Hi I've got a wee question regarding 'impedance' - Thinking of buying the Eltax Camarque (http://www.eltax.com/com/products/prod-side1.phtml?serienavn=Camargue&type=1) range but finding the right av amp seems a problem.
Centre speaker = Impedance 4 Ohm
Front Speakers = Impedance 4 Ohm
Rear Speakers = Impedance 6 Ohm
Was hoping to link this to a Marantz SR5200 (http://www.richersounds.sv01.net/index.php?f=itemdetl.php&p=206318) but it seems the amp is running at 8 Ohm - I take it one or the other will blow up eventually. Have been recommended the Sherwood R956R (http://www.richersounds.sv01.net/index.php?f=itemdetl.php&p=201931) by the bloke at RS as i've been told it will work with the speakers. I know you guys know better - he just wants his sale.... What should i do?
HELP?

Answers:

Richer Sounds recommending Sherwood gear SHOCKER!!...
The Marantz will drive those speakers fine as long as you don't have it loud & I mean LOUD all the time.. just make sure the amp is well ventilated..

I know that they practically own Sherwood, are their amps that bad? The thing I'm really bad at is leaving the amp on... Would it be bad to do so?
