Question:
I'm thinking of getting an IR sender to control the VCR and TIVO from the other end of the house. Has anyone got one and can recommend a make?
I bought one of the Tchibo video senders that was in the bargain forums a few weeks ago £45. Transmits IR signals for 3 or 4 devices. 2 Little black ovals with small dishes transmitting and receiving. Works well for me with sky. I am not sure if it works with Tivo though. It's at www.tchibo.co.uk

I got the AEI (I think it is) one from Argos for £80 just a couple of days before the Medion Toys R Us ones went on sale so I was kicking myself.
Bought the Medion one anyway as whichever one was worse I could just take back.
The Medion in my house and where the tv's are situated etc was terrible compared to the Argos one. Certainly worth the £30 more.
I know a mate of mine got the Medion one and it was fine though, so I guess it suits different houses/setups better than others.
I have the AEI one from Argos hooked up to the TIVO, works great very clear pics and no delay in the remote signal
