Advice for speakers in odd shaped room
Question:

Well, the room aint an odd shape, just the arrangement of furniture :(
Basically, its a square room (with a sticky out bit for the door). The TV is in one corner (diagonally placed, eg one side on one wall, one side on the other, forming a triangle with the wall.) Then there is a sofa on each of the two walls opposite the TV. I will attempt a diagram below:
-----------------------------------------
TV/
/
/
/ S
O
F
A

_______
|______SOFA_______| DOOR
EDIT: See reply for correct picture as this one kinda messed up.
The TV is on a more even diagonal but the forward slashes are slightly unforgiving :D The sofa's also run much of the lenth of the two walls. What is going to be th best location for the 5 speakers and sub? Thanks for any help.

This may not be much help, but go here http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ian10wg/speakersetup.jpg
My room appears to be a similar shape to your, just with the TV in the opposite corner.
The 4 sat speakers are in the 4 corners of the room, roughly evenly lined up. THe centre speaker is on top of the TV, with the sub at the side of the TV.
This is far from ideal, but there was no way I was taking the carpet up to sort it all out :o)
To be honest I'd love to put the TV in the middle of one wall, but with the chimney breast and the door to the kitchen, frankly I'm buggered.
