Question:
I was all set on getting this player as a 'first time buy', plus it had the added bonus of playing MP3s, CDRs, VCD, SVCD discs as well as being multi region.
However, Richer Sounds tell me that Acoustic Solutions have recently changed the spec so it now doesnt play any CDRs hence no VCDs, SVCDs recorded directly from PC :(
Can anyone else confirm this or was the Richer sounds guy talking b*ll*x?
alot of the cheaper dvd players as well expensive dvd players have disabled vcd play back because philips have the right to vcds
and other companys have to pay them to have vcd playback on their dvd player
