Question:
Hi all can you please help me , i just received my dcs-303 today . it don't have a scart socket . just a svid out and video out. i have got it running sweet with just the video out cable (that was in the box ) but the video in is on the front of my sony tv .
would i be better getting a svd to scart cable and set it up that way  ........thanks in advance
S vid out to a scart in on the TV should improve the picture over what I assume is plain video in at the mo, assuming your TV scart accepts a S input. I think there are some suitable cables being cleared by CPC, although I would image you will be running out to the local shops pronto.
Whats it sound like? I am thinking of selling my SC 100 and going for one of these to keep the wife happy.
well the tv accept svid in as well , so a svid to scart it is.
and the sound      the best ive heard from a non separates system .thanks for your help , i will get the cable needed later on .:smokin:
Oh man.
What did you have before mate.
I fancy the 303.
Just how good is it.
i just hada crappy one before but hte 303 is a dam good system . go get it :smokin:
I have a 303 and got an adaptor from Maplins that allow me to run bothe my ps2 and dvd through a s-video enabled scart socket.
As for performance? Fantastic
It has a lot of power and the Dolby ProlLogic 2 sounds great an normal tv
I have a Panasonic TX-36PF10 tv and it apparently has 2 S-video enabled scart sockets but when I use an S-video-scart lead I only get a black & white picture. The disc is region 2 so no NTSC problems. Someone suggested there may be an option in a menu to get it to accept S-video but can find nothing in the tv manual. The 303 has 2 different options for S-video but they both play the same on my TV.
Also my 303 is labelled XV-DV303, is this the same as the DCS303 as I want to get it upgraded to multi-region and can only find the DCS303 on all sites like DVD Chips so need to know if the same remote will do mine, if not is there one available.
Thanks
