Question:
I have the Aego 5 set up which is really great except that it as only 2 digital outputs (+3 stereo outputs). These are the optical and coaxial outputs. My dvd player I can connect with either (no problem) but my tv, sky or tivo boxes don't. So I can't play any films on sky in 5.1 digital.:(
I guess the option open to me is to replace the sky box with one (if there is) which as one of these connections. I don't suppose there's a convertion lead from coaxial to L/R leads?
The Sony 750 + 760 have an optical out. However it won't help you as iirc it only outputs stereo,so no 5.1 unless you go the Sky+ route.
The Sony box does output 5.1 through the optical output with the latest firmware upgrade from Sky.Certainly cheaper than getting the Sky+ system
