Question:
I'm currently looking at getting some form of home cinema setup. I considered the Sony DAVS 800, but its lack of outputs and upgradability put me off. I went into Richer Sounds today and they suggested the following setup:
Marantz SR4200 - £199.95
Speaker Pack: Eltax Liberty 5.1 - £349.95
Any comments on this choice? They also had the 5200 (or was it 4300, next model up anyway) but it was nearer £400, is it worth the extra?

I Had a demo of the above at richers and theyr both very good, but what id say is go for the Gale moviestar 5 speakers i had a demo of them at the same time and the sound quality was almost exactly the same even the bloke doing the demo agree'd and best of all its only £120 for the whole set!!
What sub would I need if I were to get that pack?
I dunno matey i got a matching one for £120! cant remember much about it as ive upgraded since then mate.
Just seen http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/productdetailsnew.asp?affiliateid=&modelcode=MAR-SR5200G And apparent RS will match the web price, would it be worth the extra to go with this amp?
I dont know that AMP mate, but if your going to go for a better AMP you will need better speakers to notice better sound quality.
