Bush 24" WS Tv
Question:

In the argos catalogue there's a rather nice looking silver bush tv set for £249.99 i think... only 24" but any bigger it would look silly in my small but humble room.
Any comments of this set?

Answers:

It'll probably have something wrong with it...

Well da thing is it's the only one i can really afford and people i know that have had bush tv's have found they're allright...
Oh well i'll go for it, worst that'll happen is expensive fire plastic...

You can get the same TV from Asda cheaper and you get a 3 year warrenty with it, you can even get the bush 28" for that money mate, and think any TV is better than the little portable you have now!

But it might have a different brand name. bush trade under a few names but if you ask the bird behind the desk she will tell you whats what, thing is its very cheap stuff but it comes with a 3 year no quibble garauntee! my brother got a 28" w/s a dvd player with sub and speakers for £350 from there.

Just been to asda they told me about the set and its pretty good for the cash, it will be Bush/Schneider depending on the stock but theyr the same TV, 28" nicam £229.87 and 28" WS £249.87 with a 3 year warrenty. you cant go wrong for the cash!

A TV is only as good as its source, if your watching TV through an RF cable and using a cheap dvd player, then your not going to notice much difference between this and a flagship TV.

So a jvc vcr and a samsung dvd thru rgb be okay with it? They cost me a lotta dosh :(

Answers:

Im not sure mate, VHS is pants on any telly! whether your dvd is a good one or not i dont know, the telly does have 1 RGB socket and you should get a good picture if your dvd is able to give a good picture. but for a budget model its very good, it has 5 picture modes and plenty of sound modes. i'd go for it if i where in the market for a budget TV.

YES YES YES YES im getting it! I'll be using a reasonable (mini system) wiht it as you already no!
now it won't look all poofish with the center speaker on top of the tv :P
BTW what is the on board sound like?

Answers:

The onboard sound is crap, like most TV's again. my brother has his plugged up to a hi-fi all the time so its not bad like that, but without the hi-fi its crap, they have nicam stereo buts the speakers are only around 10 watts or something silly.

Answers:

lol
So it will be worth me saving for then?
ALSO Does it come supplied with a stand from asda?

Answers:

The sound is fine for watching TV on but for dvd's you will want that extra bit of punch! so if you cant afford an AV reciever just plug it up to a hi-fi with a scart to RCA cable available from Argos then you will have that extra poke you will need. and sod saving for it, get your folks to buy it you for xmas and save for your reciever and speakers:p
